‘Chewbacca Mom’ Got Her Own ‘Chewbacca Mom’ Action Figure Because ‘Chewbacca Mom’

Sometimes it’s the simple things in life that bring joy to us and sometimes the internet as a whole likes to revel in it. Chewbacca Mom is proof of this theory, with Candace Payne’s overjoyed reaction to purchasing a toy Chewbacca mask melting the internet’s collective heart. Sure, it’s partially because we all just love Star Wars so much, but it’s also charm and the “every mom” winning. Since then companies have been looking to build off of her charm by bringing her around to hang out with them and gift her with cool stuff. She’s even charging money for autographs and people are lining up to pay. That’s the power of the internet and charm, folks.

For Candace Payne the thrill ride isn’t over yet, though, as according to Death and Taxes, Hasbro flew her and her family out to a visit to their headquarters to unveil a custom-made Chewbacca Mom action figure. Yes, Candace Payne now has her own action figure thanks to Hasbro and they’ve got some PR with a viral video star. Everyone wins! The internet, though, seems sort of over Chewbacca Mom.

It’s hard to disagree with a lot of the head-scratching over Chewbacca Mom still being a thing. Good for Candace and her family for cashing in on this viral sensation and really, anyone who can continue to fleece stuff out of companies trying to cash-in on viral stories is doing OK in my book. It might be time to pack it in, though. Because it’s the internet and all feel-good stories turn into horror eventually, don’t they? But hey, Star Wars.
