New Jersey Senator Cory Booker Clearly Enjoys Crushing His Twitter Trolls With Kindness

On this morning’s episode of Meet the Press, New Jersey Senator Cory Booker spoke about the state of U.S. infrastructure. The episode framed itself around the Amtrak 188 tragedy out of Philly on Tuesday evening. Booker argued for additional funding as an investment for public safety. He believes that the U.S. has fallen dramatically behind other countries, whereas the country used to stand as the global leader of infrastructure dollars. Booker would like to see a significant investment (many billions of dollars) to prevent future accidents.

Booker appeared on the Sunday talk show circuit on his own personal time. Then he visited his second home, Twitter, to fend off some trolls:

This isn’t the first time Booker has handled trolls with a swift yet kind form of justice. The former mayor of Newark has always killed his critics with kindness:

Booker may have given up his personal time to appear on the talk show circuit this morning, but he’s not an “all work, no play” kind of guy. He’s a nerd, too.
