Dark Knight Rises Rehearsal Mishap, Now It’s Raining Men

Just mentioning the fact that you’re working on Christopher Nolan’s next Batman movie should, alone, grant a person free reign over most situations -even if that means terrorizing local Feshiebridge residents by dropping out of the sky and crashing through their roofs. During what began as skydiving rehearsals for The Dark Knight Rises, heavy winds proved bothersome for stuntmen who started their descent above an RAF bombing range near Tain in Easter Ross. It’s like my grandfather used to say, “one minute you’re skydiving dressed as Batman and the next you’re stuck in a barn.”

Around the time of the aerial invasion photographer Pavel Satny happened to be outside on his porch next door. One moment, Mr. Satny was reminiscing over how awesome H.R. Pufnstuf used to be and then suddenly BOOM the sky is falling.

“There were five parach-utists overhead. I was busy watching one of the other men, as it looked as if he was going to land in the forest next door.

“All of a sudden, out of the corner of my eye, I saw another man fall straight down into the roof next door. He dropped just like a stone.

“I didn’t know what to do – whether to get my ladder or my wife! I got my ladder and made my way to help him.

You know what my grandfather used to say about women and ladders, don’t you? Oh never mind, he had dementia. Sucks we’ll have to wait until the 2012 release date to find out how the hell all this flying around sh*t fits into a Batman movie. Let me tell you, it’s got this gumshoe stumped. Be sure and check after the jump for an additional photograph from the crash landing.
