Dusty McFly – Buffies & Benihanas Vol. 2 Mixtape

At first glance, many would pass off Dusty McFly as just another braggadocios rapper from Detroit. Yet, beyond the Cartier frames and minks in his closet, this new school Street Lord takes his stylistic stunting to the next level on his new project Buffies & Benihanas Vol. 2.

For the highly-anticipated sequel to the mixtape that brought us his hood-certified smash “I’m Out Here”, Fleez fills listeners ears with street savvy rhymes about breaking through in the city known more for desolation than growth. Offering some guidance on his route to clout, the 313 MC details his endeavors throughout coded anthems like “D Boy” and legit singles such as “Wow” with Boldy James and Royce Da 5’9.”

Then, to display versatility, the Dirty Glove spitter intertwines his grind rhymes with endearing cuts like the lady-friendly “Number One” and hometown-approved “D Love.” However, the highlight of this tape is arguably the Helluva-produced “Freak Bitch,” which finds McFly detailing some undercover escapades, ala Frank White on his famous tale “Story To Tell.”

All in all, the tape is straight Detroit rap, with one of the city’s most promising up & comers putting versatility on display throughout maybe his biggest project to date. Whether you can relate to his lifestyle or not, Dusty McFly sure helps you visualize it on B&B 2.
