Louie Amundson was asked by his young daughter if he had ever bullied anyone. It bothered him, not because it made him wonder if his child was being bullied, but because he couldn’t honestly answer “No” to the question. He had bullied someone when he was in school, and the conversation with his own daughter affected him so much that he was prompted to apologize to the person he bullied. So, he took to Facebook, proving that social media can actually come in handy once in a while.

One day, out of the blue, ChadMichael Morrisette got a Facebook message from Louie Amundson, a name that had once struck fear into him. But this message was that aforementioned apology. It read:

“Hey Chad,

I was recently talking with my 10 year old daughter about bullies. She asked me if I ever bullied anyone and sadly I had to say “yes”. What came to mind was how sh*tty and mean I was to you when we were in Jr. High. I want to apologize. If we lived in the same state I would apologize to your face. I don’t even know if you remember, but I do and I am sorry.”

Morrisette was taken by the apology and responded to accept, adding that Amundson’s daughter should be proud that her father apologized and that the two former rivals “are good.” Amundson replied again to say that his forgiveness meant a lot to him.

See? Sometimes Facebook isn’t stupid!
