Frank Ocean Wants “Peace,” Won’t Press Charges Against Chris Brown

It appears that Frank Ocean will not press charges against Chris Brown after Brown reportedly jumped Ocean in West Hollywood several days ago over a parking spot and subsequently punched him.

Ocean took to his Tumblr today to address the reports that he was seeking legal proceedings against, what can only be inferred to be, Brown:

“AS A CHILD I THOUGHT IF SOMEONE JUMPED ME IT WOULD RESULT IN ME MURDERING OR MUTILATING A MAN. BUT AS A MAN I AM NOT A KILLER. I’M AN ARTIST AND A MODERN PERSON. I’LL CHOOSE SANITY. NO CRIMINAL CHARGES. NO CIVIL LAWSUIT. FORGIVENESS, ALBEIT DIFFICULT, IS WISDOM. PEACE, ALBEIT TRITE, IS WHAT I WANT IN MY SHORT LIFE. PEACE.”

If Ocean had filed charges, they could have compromised Brown’s five-year probation that he’s currently serving after his now-infamous 2009 beating of girlfriend Rihanna.

Up next for both Ocean and Brown since Ocean decided to bury the hatchet? The Grammys next Sunday, where Ocean is nominated for six awards, including Album of the Year and Best New Artist, while Brown’s nominated for… something, something other than music’s biggest dick troll, of course.
