'Game Of Thrones' Political Attack Ads Finally Asks, 'Where's The Birth Certificate, Joffrey?'

Have you ever wondered what slimy political attack ads would look like if they were around in the era in which Game of Thrones is set? Well, thankfully our friends at Mother Jones have and the results are downright glorious.

In HBO’s hit show Game of Thrones, there are dragons, sword fights, and zombie armies. But the heart of the show is intense political intrigue. Alliances are forged and broken; back room deals are cut; principles are sacrificed. It’s a dirty game. Yet imagine how much more unsavory it would be if super-PACs and dark-money outfits existed in the Seven Kingdoms.

Below are three Game of Thrones-themed political attack ads that may be my favorite pieces of fan art(?) inspired by the show that I’ve seen. The Joffrey/birth certificate one absolutely slayed me.

Here’s “Joffrey Baratheon: What a Bastard!”…

Here’s “Robb Stark: The Biggest Celebrity in The North”

And here’s “Daenerys Targaryen: Wrong For Dragons, Wrong For The Realm”…
