Forget Ben Affleck’s riff with Bill Maher on Real Time. Geraldo Rivera’s support for President Obama’s recent executive action on immigration not only turned his colleages’ heads at Fox News, but it also riled up everyone’s favorite constituency: fap-happy internet trolls.
Mediate reports Rivera responded to his online critics with what seemed like a mature, discourse-driven Facebook post. However, things quickly turned ugly when Rivera’s personal life became a target.
Just checking some of your responses to my recent posts on the president’s immigration action. Most are spirited, but within the normal boundaries of decent discourse. Some, however, are hateful, ignorant and racist, even mentioning my family.
That is something I cannot abide. I’m turning your posts over to Fox News and Facebook authorities because you little pieces of shit hiding in the shadows of your mother’s basement deserve no less.
Hot damn, Mr. Rivera! You’ve got ’em shaking in their soiled underpants now, I bet.
As you can imagine, comments responding to Rivera’s post are brimming with the highest academic standards this country has to offer. Last time I checked, a few people were debating whether or not Obama is “black” or “biracial.” I HOPE THEY FIGURE THAT ONE OUT SOON.
