Watch This Guy Destroy The ‘I Got A GoPro’ Meme For Everyone

GoPros are nuts, man. These action cameras have been around since 2013, and each Christmas morning, tons of hopeful adventurers strap one on for the first time and upload the evidence to YouTube. The video hosting service is full of thousands of shaky-cam recordings of folks showing off their new gadgets and high-flying lifestyles. Not so much on that last point? Some of these videos are pretty ridiculous, and one can only handle so many birds-eye views of sled rides down unimpressively-sloped hills.

One dude who got a GoPro decided to poke fun at the whole “I got a GoPro” trend with a video that starts out as expected. To be fair, Blane Steckline lives in Kansas, where there’s some snow, but the only hills to be found are concrete bridges. Still, this fella is determined to put his GoPro to good use. He pulls on snow shoes, coat, and gloves while the usual upbeat music plays in the forefront. Steckline is gonna have a good time, right? Maybe he’ll play some hockey or tackle a bear with his bare hands. He’ll deliver the most impressive GoPro video ever, or maybe not.

This anti-climactic feeling is how folks feel about most “real” GoPro videos. They ain’t that fresh.

Luckily, Steckline recorded a bonus video. This one arrives with ski-goggle madness and an equal amount of trolling.
