Here’s The Festivus Infographic You’ve All Been Waiting For

Of the many things Seinfeld graced upon the world in its run, it’s arguable that Festivus, that holiday celebration for “the rest of us,” is the show’s single greatest contribution to modern culture. The brainchild of the hilariously bombastic Frank Costanza, the holiday celebrated on December 23rd is symbolized by, in Frank’s words, the following…

1) A metal pole: “It requires no decoration. I find tinsel distracting … [I]t’s made from aluminum. Very high strength-to-weight ratio.”

2) Feats of strength: “Festivus is not over until the head of the household is pinned in a wrestling match.”

3) The airing of grievances: “At the Festivus dinner, you gather your family around, and tell them all the ways they have disappointed you over the past year!”

Perhaps like Frank Costanza, you too are over the holiday hoopla and would like to celebrate something more…simple. If that’s the case, have we got the infographic for you, after the jump.

One of these years I’m going to do Festivus myself. I’m looking for just the right metal pole.
