South Carolina’s Jadeveon Clowney Baptizes Michigan Running Back

Thanks to the biggest hit we’ve seen this year, Jadeveon Clowney’s 2013 Heisman campaign began early. In the midst of a tightly-contested Outback Bowl against 18th-ranked Michigan, South Carolina’s best defender delivered a teeth-rattling knock against Michigan running back Vincent Smith. Smith’s helmet flew off, the ball fumbled to the ground and grown men across the country swooned. South Carolina would win the contest 33-28 on a last-second touchdown, but Clowney’s hit will be remembered just as fondly as the Gamecock’s comeback.

Many of us (*glances at Ryan*) grow tired of hearing about the SEC’s decade-long stranglehold on college football, but f*ck it. Clowney – like many of his dirty south brethren – is an athletic freak, and deserves all of the shine that comes his way. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to share this video with as many people as possible.
