Jeff Wadlow And Mark Millar Of ‘Kick-Ass 2’ Address The Jim Carrey Rumors

Universal is assembling a pretty solid cast for Kick-Ass 2: Balls To The Wall, but we were still waiting to hear back about those rumors that Jim Carrey might be playing Colonel Stars, the ex-mafia born-again Christian who co-founded superhero group Justice Forever. The filming starts this Friday, so it’s just a wee bit important for them to get the principal cast on board. This weekend, writer/director Jeff Wadlow and creator Mark Millar tweeted a response to those rumors:

In other words, they’re hinting at Carrey being on board. If true, Jim Carrey is joining a cast which includes Nic Cage, Chloë Moretz, Aaron Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Morris Chestnut, John Leguizamo, Yancy Butler, Donald Faison as Doctor Gravity, Lindy Booth as Night Bitch, Robert Emms as The Tumor, and Andy Nyman as Insect Man. We could have probably added several fake names and generic villain titles to that list, and not even Mark Millar would have been the wiser.
