Now that Breakup Summer is over, maybe now we can welcome Romance Fall? While Lamar Odom continues to recover from his collapse last week, he and his estranged wife Khloe Kardashian have announced that they are calling off their divorce. The couple filed their papers back in December 2013, but the divorce was never finalized, so basically they get to rip them up and be done with the whole thing.
Odom apparently signed his legal documents after Kardashian visited an LA County courthouse to file a petition to withdraw their divorce case. After being transported from Las Vegas, where his overdose took place, Odom is currently hospitalized but recovering in Los Angeles. And after her very heartfelt statement and her constant presence at Odom’s side, it’s easy to see that Khloe never really stopped having strong feelings for her husband, even after they separated and dated other people.
So no matter what you think about the Kardashians, isn’t it a relief to see at least one couple try to work things out? Maybe it took a near-death experience, but considering how many times love died this year, it’s lovely to see some signs of life from one couple who almost gave up.
