Kim Kardashian And Kendall Jenner Threaten A Lawsuit Over Photoshopped Domestic Abuse Photos

aleXsandro Palombo, the artist and activist behind disabled Disney princesses surviving breast cancer and Marge Simpson holding a sign that reads “Bill Cosby raped me,” has come up with another provocative project that has people talking. To mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (November 25), Palombo Photoshopped images of Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner, among others, with cuts and bruises on their faces and bodies. He explained in a press release:

“The biggest accomplice of violence is the silence, a silence which every year kills or causes permanent disability more than diseases or accidents. Domestic violence is a social cancer that knows no boundaries nor social status, it can affect anyone, whether you’re an ordinary person or a celebrity. To defeat him you need to use the antidote of culture by educating and raising awareness on Respect and Equality.” (Via)

The #StopViolenceAgainstWomen campaign, which also features photos of Miley Cyrus and Emma Watson, is well-intentioned, even if the women look more like zombies than victims of domestic abuse. But the Kardashian/Jenner clan are having none of it. TMZ reports that “no one ever contacted the women to get permission to use their faces, and now their attorneys are reaching out to the artist responsible to issue a warning.”

We’re told Kim and Kendall happen to back the cause, but also think it’s important that people have the right to choose to be involved. (Via)

The pictures are “commercially-available paparazzi shots,” so it’s unclear whether they have a case. But considering Disney hasn’t sued Palombo through the roof for Prince Eric’s abuse of Ariel, they probably don’t.
