When we last left Arrow, Ollie had just gotten beaten down hard by Ra’s Al Ghul, to the point where Ra’s stabbed him and then kicked him off a cliff. We all know they’re not killing Ollie, but he’s going to need a minute to get over that. So what’s happening in Starling City in the meantime?
This set of episodes has been talked up as a trilogy of sorts. Refreshingly, the show’s creative team doesn’t think we believe Ollie’s actually dead, so these next three episodes are about how he comes back. In the meantime, team Arrow will have to try and make it look like Diggle can’t do Ollie’s job better than he can, Roy will do more backflips and, yes, Laurel’s going to start playing the Black Canary and hopefully getting into more passive-aggressive fights on Twitter.
