Here’s your unsubstantiated rumor of the day: Tom Cruise and Lindsay Lohan are definitely dating! Well, probably dating! Maybe dating? Saw each other at a thing one time? Are in the same city right now? DING DING DING DING!
According to OK Magazine, Tom Cruise and Lindsay Lohan are both currently in London — as we all know, Lindsay Lohan is being seen in her stage debut of Speed the Plow — and the two supposedly ran into each other and exchanged numbers after “flirting all night.”
If I plunge the depths of my imagination, I can’t, for the life of me, picture Tom Cruise and Lindsay Lohan flirting, much less interacting with each other on any level. But sure, let’s run with it. Via Fox News:
“Lindsay has been craving the security and sophistication that comes with dating an older man, so she couldn’t believe her luck when she ran into her old crush [in London],” a source told OK! magazine. “She’s head over heels.”
That said, Lindsay is apparently down with whatever shady business Tom is allegedly involved in when it comes to his love life, because she reportedly “gushed” to OK!‘s source that Tom is the “sexiest man alive.”
This isn’t just a love connection, though; Lindsay thinks that Tom will be able to revive her struggling career, and Tom thinks that “Lindsay can definitely help him relax and have more fun.”
For what it’s worth, back in April when Laura Prepon was vehemently denying being romantically linked to Tom Cruise, I suggested that Lindsay Lohan might be a good candidate for the cult of Xenu, so it’s very possible that someone in Tom Cruise’s camp picked up on that. Who knows! I’m going to do some wishful thinking on this one, because if Tom Cruise and Lindsay Lohan did get together it would probably be my favorite celebrity thing to ever happen of all time.
