A Colorado man who was smoking as he backed out of his driveway yesterday accidentally dropped his cigarette down the front of his jacket, and for some reason decided to exit the vehicle to avoid being burnt. That’s when all hell broke loose:
As the driver jumped out after the cigarette fell, his van kept rolling backwards and he was knocked to the ground. The front driver’s side tire rolled over his head.
He was transported to a local hospital and is in critical condition, though police say he will likely survive.
A relative sitting in the passenger seat was unhurt (aside from the mental scarring that likely results from watching a family member run over his own head), and police do not anticipate filing any charges against the driver.
