X-Men: Days Of Future Past is filming in Montreal right now, and a new batch of set photos shows Nicholas Hoult in makeup as Beast and Michael Fassbender as Magneto. They’re getting wet in a public fountain together because director Bryan Singer wants to make sure Tumblr explodes and the slashfic writers stay busy. All set photos are after the jump.
The last time we saw Nicholas Hoult in beast mode was when director Bryan Singer tweeted the left half of the picture above with the quote, “Many a monster wears the form of a man; it is better of the two to have the heart of a man and the form of a monster.” That’s from Beauty and the Beast by Jeanne-Marie Le Prince de Beaumont. So that’s apt.
The new batch of photos from Fan-girl.org shows Michael Fassbender and Nicholas Hoult’s characters in their suave 1973 clothing.
A few of our favorites include this picture which should just be captioned “Giggity”. Then there’s this picture, which we imagine is Beast yelling, “WAZZUP”. Then there’s this picture of Beast swimming like my mom when she’s just got her hair did. We were also mildly terrified by this one of Michael Fassbender laughing with his stand-in. Magneto looks particularly fierce in this photo, which seems like he’s giving the two laughing Fassbenders the side eye.
