New Grant Morrison Documentary Makes Him Seem Less Crazy

We love Grant Morrison, but make no mistake: he’s one very strange guy. Certainly not Steve Ditko’s brand of strange, more like Alan Moore’s brand of strange. If you don’t believe us, look up what happened when King Mob got shot in “The Invisibles”, or just read some of “Animal Man” when Morrison incorporated the death of his cat into the plotline.

Anyway, somebody finally put together a documentary about him called “Grant Morrison: Talking With Gods”, and we assure you, that’s meant literally. In a moment that’s actually pretty neat, and included under the jump, Morrison and Mark Waid talk about running into a guy in a Superman costume who talked to them, in character, about what it’s like to be Supes right when they were about to fire up “All-Star Superman”:

We bet Frank Miller had a similar experience for “All-Star Batman and Robin”, but the Batman impersonator was drunk. In fact, this is sounding more and more like the writers of “All-Star” just ran into the cast of “Confessions of a Superhero”. But hey, at least we got one good book out of it.
