O.J. Simpson Had Sage Words For Donald Trump At His 1993 Wedding To Marla Maples

Here are some currently topical subjects that are randomly crossing streams, between last night’s finale of American Crime Story: The People v O.J. Simpson and The Daily Show digging up a creepy old Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous clip featuring Donald Trump and his then-wife, Marla Maples — who is currently competing on Dancing with the Stars while her ex runs for president. In an investigation to find out what ever happened to Maples’ enormous, 7.5 carat engagement ring that The Donald purchased for his bride to the tune of $250,000, Inside Edition came across this old footage from the couple’s 1993 wedding.

Guests in attendance at the lavish affair included Howard Stern, a pre-feud Rosie O’Donnell, and none other than O.J. Simpson himself, who spoke to reporters outside of the event. Just six months before the former football star was arrested for the double murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, he had this to say about the union of the billionaire and his former mistress:

I think everybody in the country believes maybe their relationship can work, if this relationship can work.

Spoiler alert: It didn’t work, and if you based your relationship on the success rate of one of Donald Trump’s marriages as dictated by O.J. Simpson, yours was probably doomed, as well.
