Pasha P183 — The ‘Russian Banksy’ — Is Dead At 29

I have to admit, I had no idea that a Russian version of Banksy existed (though I’m hardly surprised) but he did. He was known popularly as “Pasha P183,” and now he’s dead at 29, sadly.

Reports the Washington Post:

The Teatralnoye Delo theatrical production company, which recently commissioned Pasha P183 to create scenery for the musical “Todd,” said the artist died Monday in Moscow. It wouldn’t elaborate.

Teatralnoye Delo’s spokeswoman Regina Vartsan, who knew the artist personally, described him Wednesday as a “sincere and open person of remarkable talent and unique vision.”

Nope, nothing shady sounding at all about any of that! So not Russian of them to be exceedingly vague  and mysterious, no?

Personally, I wouldn’t be surprised if Pasha actually emerged alive in a few weeks. Additionally, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was murdered by Putin’s henchmen. Nothing surprises me when it comes to anything concerning Russia anymore.

Anyway, here are some of his other works…
