Congratulations To Quasi Modo, The Winner Of This Year’s World’s Ugliest Dog

Not every dog can be famous on Instagram for being adorable and cute and fluffy and all that visually-pleasing stuff. Some dogs are just plain ugly as hell, and the World’s Ugliest Dog contest that takes place in Petaluma, California, every year to celebrate those less-than photogenic dogs. This year, the highest honor goes to Quasi Modo, a 10-year-old pit bull-Dutch shepherd mix who might have a back too short for his body and a lacks a neck, but has a “bubbly personality,” and is probably a sweetheart of an animal. Quasi was actually a contender last year, but lost out to Peanut, a truly, truly ugly dog. Fortunately he returned from Hell to claim victory.

The first runner-up was a 13-year-old Chinese Crested — which should just go ahead and be named the World’s Ugliest Dog Breed — named SweePee Rambo, who must have been disqualified for being not of this Earth.

I’m sure you’re very cute and precious when you’re sleeping, Sweepee. But please don’t ever look me right in the eye.

Congratulations to all the ugly dogs who deserve all the love they can get!
