Archaeologists digging in Gdańsk,Poland have discovered something very special in an abandoned toilet: A leather dildo with a wooden tip. While the thing’s only being called a “sex toy,” it’s really not quite a feat of imagination to picture exactly what this “well-preserved” giant was used for before it was carelessly dropped down a toilet — actually, what it was being used for when it was dropped. Discovery News reports that officials are saying the user was likely mid-pleasure when the toy was lost:
“It was certainly expensive. Cleaning revealed it was made of high quality leather,” Marcin Tymiński at the Regional Office for the Protection of Monuments said in an interview with Radio Gdańsk.
“This is an extraordinary find for people researching the history of erotica,” he added.

Aside from the dildo, archaeologists also discovered the remains of pottery and jewelry in the latrine and wooden swords nearby, suggesting that the toilet may have belonged to a fencing school.
The dildo’s already been removed from the premises for, uh, “maintenance.”
