Someone Crammed a GameCube Into a Handheld?

One thing that’s been awesome is the trend of cramming consoles into smaller and smaller spaces, in defiance of the major console makers. But while many of them are slick, the one pictured at right might just be the slickest of them all.

Yes, that is a complete GameCube, minus two things: the disc drive, and a battery to make it truly portable. The games that are being played in the video below are actually ROM images loaded from an SD card, something we’re sure excites Nintendo to absolutely no end. As for the battery, apparently the power demands of the GameCube mean that for now, this thing is strictly an AC powered beast.

On the other hand, it’s worth it to play “Wind Waker” on something other than a GameCube bought off eBay for $25. Video of the portable in action under the jump.
