I have next to nothing to add here. Star Trek isn’t all that topical at the moment, and anyway I’m pretty sure this is from the first movie. But as Josh pointed out not long ago all GIFs are better when reversed, and I just stumbled across these on Tumblr and can’t take my eyes away. Simply equal parts amusing and mesmerizing and kind of beautiful.
