Carlsberg beer unveiled a new campaign on Wednesday with a London billboard that advertises its product in a very special way. According to NY Daily News, the giant poster had a tap attached to serve beer to anyone on the street.
“The idea was to capture discovery of the poster, to create a buzz and talkability. It certainly delivered on its objectives,” Carlsberg spokesman Andrew Roache told the Daily News.
The Copenhagen-based company employed security to make sure samples were limited to half-pints per customer during the six-hour promotional event.
“How do you make the best poster in the world? Turn it into a working beer tap!” the company said in a description for the video.
Whether you’re a fan of their brew or not, Carlsberg made a pretty brilliant move with this advertising campaign. Now I’m thirsty.
