This Dog Befriending A Disabled Kitten Might Be The Most Heartwarming Thing You’ll See Today

Ralphee the kitten was born with a neurological disorder known as feline cerebellar hypoplasia, which means that the part of the brain that controls fine motor skills and coordination was underdeveloped at birth, causing her to wobble around and bob her head awkwardly. Luckily for Ralphee, since her owners rescued her from a barn at a horse stable, she’s formed a special bond with Max, an Australian cattle dog who follows her around, looking out for her.

My dog actually looked after our first cat the same way, refusing to leave his side, when we brought him in off the street. At the time, he was an emaciated kitten weighing less than a pound and probably wouldn’t have lived the night had we not taken him in.

My story doesn’t have such a happy ending though, since that lasted all of a week and ever since the dog wants nothing the hell to do with him, despite that the cat still thinks that they’re best friends. Let’s just say that over the past five years, we’ve become quite familiar with Exasperated Dog Face.
