This Subway Performer Is A Golden-Voiced Surprise For Your Daily Commute

You never know what you might encounter at a New York subway station. That’s not an opinion, that’s a proven fact proven throughout the course of time. In just the last year we’ve seen a rat hauling away an entire piece of pizza down some stairs, heard about men with giant dildos terrorizing passengers, and seen a dude completely eat it trying to slide down an NYC subway railing. We’ve become so immune to seeing wacky sh** on the New York subway that almost nothing would surprise us at this point.

Well, it’s a good thing I said almost because a man and his subway station rendition of the “Unchained Melody” in a New York City station has us completely shocked, in the most fantastic way. A singer who goes by the name Mike Yung set up shop and let his pipes loose on The Righteous Brothers classic for all the passersby’s to hear.

Video of the performance was uploaded to an account named mindblowin. The performance was so good that it inspired Yung to create a Twitter account where he tweeted a clip of his performance that is already fast approaching 3,000 retweets.

Yung’s performance reminds us that you never know what you might see at a New York subway station, but that’s not always necessarily a bad thing.
