Trump Is Escalating His Attack On Kellyanne Conway’s Husband, Rage-Tweeting That He’s A ‘Stone Cold LOSER And Husband From Hell’

There continues to be no love lost between President Donald Trump and George Conway, otherwise known as the husband of his senior adviser Kellyanne Conway. Mr. Conway has been an outspoken critic of Trump’s for quite some time now, often tweeting and retweeting scathing criticisms of the president, but now things seem to be heating up.

Over the weekend, Conway questioned Trump’s mental health after the president spent a good amount of his executive time on Sunday railing against everything from a rerun of Saturday Night Live to perceived disloyalty from Fox News, among other topics. The following morning, Conway tweeted out a thread with excerpts from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, highlighting excerpts that suggest Trump is suffering from narcissistic personality disorder and antisocial personality disorder.

In response, Trump called Conway “A total loser!” while retweeting his campaign manager Brad Parscale on Tuesday, who suggested that Conway is just salty about getting turned down for a job in his administration — a claim Conway later vehemently denied to the Washington Post. Instead, Conway says that Trump offered him the job at the Justice Department, but declined after witnessing Trump attack the department’s leaders, culminating in the firing of James B. Comey:

“I’m thinking to myself, this guy is going to be at war with the Justice Department for the next two years,” Conway said. “I’m not doing this.”

At any rate, this all came boiling over on Wednesday morning when Trump personally lashed out at Conway on Twitter, seemingly contradicting what his longtime advisor’s husband has told the Post:

“George Conway, often referred to as Mr. Kellyanne Conway by those who know him, is VERY jealous of his wife’s success & angry that I, with her help, didn’t give him the job he so desperately wanted,” Trump fired off. “I barely know him but just take a look, a stone cold LOSER & husband from hell!”

Conway was quick to respond to the president, suggesting that Trump had essentially proven his point:

And of course, “George Conway” soon began trending on Twitter, as everyone else began craning their necks to witness the triple-car pileup:

If you’re wondering how Kellyanne and George Conway manage to sit at the same dinner table, much less sleep in the same bed at night, Mr. Conway also offered some insight into his marriage to the Post:

“It’s so maddening to watch,” said Conway, a longtime Washington attorney who is well-known in conservative circles. “The mendacity, the incompetence, it’s just maddening to watch. The tweeting is just the way to get it out of the way, so I can get it off my chest and move on with my life that day. That’s basically it. Frankly, it’s so I don’t end up screaming at her about it.”
