Police Released Security Footage From The Deadly Waco Shootout

Nearly 200 bikers were arrested back in May after a shootout in Waco, Texas that left nine dead. The brawl-turned-scene out of Sons of Anarchy took place at the Twin Peaks Sports Bar between two rival clubs, the Bandidos and the Cossacks; when police arrived, guns were turned on them. Waco Police Sgt. Patrick Swanton said, “It progressed very rapidly. They started shooting at our officers, and our officers returned fire, taking several of them down.”

To date, no one has been charged with murder.

After initially locking up more than 170 people in connection with the May 17 incident outside Twin Peaks restaurant, McLennan County prosecutors have not charged anyone with the shooting deaths of nine people. At least 20 others were hurt. Those arrested were charged with engaging in organized criminal activity.

Investigators have not yet offered details about who shot who or whether police officers fatally shot anyone, though reports reviewed by the AP indicate police bullets did hit at least one biker. (Via)

Police released security footage from the shootout today. Guns are drawn, bloody bikers dive for cover, and waitresses flee from the mayhem. It’s pandemonium, and probably not something David Lynch is proud to be associated with. Watch at your own discretion.
