Mortal Kombat X is doing the full-court press for gamer attention as its April 14 release date approaches, and part of that is, of course, giving us a full look at the gameplay. That includes the first seven minutes, most of which are, uh, quick-time events.
To be fair, if you skip to 3:50, you’ve got what’s definitely some good old-fashioned Mortal Kombat, and just one of Johnny’s fairly effective fighting styles. And the cutscenes are not without their pleasures, including cheesy dialogue and Scorpion introducing himself in an amusingly over-the-top way:
We’ll get to see just how slick the rest of the game is this April.
