For Apollo’s Anniversary, Please Enjoy Completely Real Apollo Audio ‘We Are On The F–king Moon’

Friday was the 43rd anniversary of Apollo 11’s moon landing in 1969. And to think, we’re now at the point where we can send tourists to space and eventually launch Ashton Kutcher into the sun. Space tourism is so close to reality that NASA is now devising a plan to protect Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin’s Apollo 11 landing site from obnoxious space tourists trying to re-enact the second episode of Futurama. Good luck with that. Tourists have a knack for getting their sticky peanut butter fingers all over everything, especially if you’ve set up a cart nearby selling Mickey Mouse shaped ice creams.

Even if NASA can’t get the Apollo landing site protected as a UNSECO World Heritage site, we’ll always have the totally real, uncensored, completely-legit-trust-me audio below to remember the moon landing by. It’s very NSFW and I haven’t giggled this much in a long time.

The wording comes from this NSFW page from The Onion’s Our Dumb Century, but hearing it set to moon landing footage and Brian Eno’s “Ambient 4 : On Land” brings it to a new level of divine. We did it. The f–king moon. Over.
