William Shatner went on The Opie and Anthony Show earlier this week to promote his new album, Ponder the Mystery. Every time Shatner visits the show, co-host Anthony Cumia shoehorns Star Trek references into the conversation, to which Shatner responds with bemused annoyance. They pushed the bit even further this week, going where no radio host has gone before. (Sorry.)
After the interview, as William Shatner was sitting outside the studio before the next interview started, Cumia reenacted a memorable moment from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan with the studio’s windows, pestering him to react to Spock’s emotional scene. Shatner’s response is priceless:
You’re a hanger-on! You’re sucking the lifeblood out of me.
Is he talking about Spock, or his overzealous fans?
