Reddit’s ‘Most Embarrassing Text Message’ Thread Will Have You Triple-Checking All Outgoing Messages

Digital communication has advanced to the point that contacting another human being now requires zero brainpower. (Which is great, because the great ease-of-use revolution has left many of us with just that.) Nothing could be easier than selecting a name (forget memorizing numbers), typing a brief message, then hitting “send.” It’s so simple, and yet so ripe for disaster.

A recent Reddit thread titled “What is the most embarrassing text message you have sent to the wrong person?” contains so many entertaining examples of how this basic operation can go horribly wrong.
