A Premature Tribute To Paul Rudd’s Bobby Newport

Paul Rudd as Bobby Newport certainly didn’t disappoint last night, huh? “My dad was friends with John Cougar Mellencamp! It’s pretty cool.” Really though, how could it have?

All things Archer have thoroughly — and pleasantly — occupied my week, but I can’t help but feel like I’ve been neglecting my non-existent duty to bring up Parks and Recreation multiple times a day. Especially when the show collided with its movie star equivalent last night in what should go down as the most likable merger since Nutella was introduced to french toast.

So despite Paul Rudd being around for at least three more episodes, I’m prepared to pay tribute to the world’s most likable celebrity playing the dim-witted Sweetums heir/VP of Nougat/Pawnee city council candidate on the world’s most likable show. I reconciled myself with prematurity long ago. “It’s been a cam-pleasure.”
