Everybody Wins! The Super Bowl Bet Between Chris Evans And Chris Pratt Raised Almost $27,000

A little rivalry pays off sometimes! While Chris Evans got the bragging rights after his New England Patriots beat Chris Pratt’s Seattle Seahawks at the Super Bowl, both agreed to honor their wager to make appearances at children’s hospitals in their respective cities. They also used the opportunity to raise money for the hospitals, Seattle Children’s Hospital and Christopher’s Haven in Boston, and the total is nothing to sneeze at: Seattle Children’s Hospital raised just under $15,000 while Christopher’s Haven raised about $12,000, almost $27,000 total. Lisa Brandenberg, president of the Seattle Children’s Hospital, told The Hollywood Reporter:

“We are grateful that real-life superheroes Chris Pratt and Chris Evans are turning their sports rivalry into an opportunity to support kids in their communities. We are delighted that patients and families at both Seattle Children’s and Christopher’s Haven will benefit from these generous donations.”

And Joyce Duvall, executive director of Christopher’s Haven, had this to say:

“The generosity of Chris Evans and Chris Pratt is overwhelming. They turned a simple, friendly wager into something very significant for both Christopher’s Haven and Seattle Children’s Hospital. The fun and goodwill that they have generated will stay with the children a long time.”

The Super Chrises have been building up their friendly rivalry since their respective teams won their way into the big game and snuck in plenty of Marvel Bro-time last Sunday. And then this happened and the world was going to be okay:

Now you can see why some of us like living in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
