At this point Game of Thrones is no longer simply a television series, instead it is a cultural phenomenon that transcends boundaries and is loved by a broad range of people. What originally looked like a show that only hardcore nerds would love has turned into a show that everyone has been talking about for years now. It’s the biggest show on television and it’s on a premium pay network like HBO, which is a huge, huge deal.
This wouldn’t be the first time that someone decided to tackle Game of Thrones mashing up with The Legend of Zelda, but by god this might be the best. ComicBookResources dug up what is not only a gem, but a marvel of modern indie film making. This live action mashup of Game of Thrones and The Legend of Zelda captures the story and characters from the Zelda series perfectly, all while in a darker, more Game of Thrones-like world.
Zelda is perhaps one of the most beloved franchises of all-time, with a fan base that grew up with the games and are thirsting for a more mature version of the game, even if Nintendo still wishes it to remain as lighthearted as it always has been.
