Mötley Crüe’s ‘Kickstart My Heart’ Hilariously Scared The Feelgood Out Of An MLB Pitcher This Weekend

My New York Mets traveled to Arizona over the weekend for a three-game set against the Diamondbacks, and it was about as interesting as two teams struggling to reach .500 in late-August would be. Maybe this is too inside baseball for you guys (we usually let With Leather cover all things MLB), but that’s to say: it wasn’t interesting, with the exception of when an overzealous Chase Field sound guy cranked up Mötley Crüe’s “Kickstart My Heart” right as Diamondbacks pitcher J.J. Putz was in his windup. The Mets broadcast team described it as “mooing.”

The least he could have done is play “Girls, Girls, Girls” instead. Gotta get some use of that outfield pool.
