Watch This ‘Old Man’ Stun The Jacked-Up Bodybuilders At Muscle Beach With His Amazing Feats Of Strength

You only go to the world-famous Muscle Beach in Santa Monica, California for three reasons: to impress, to spectate, or to embarrass. The muscly strong men and women who work out there thought they were going to see an “old man” make a potentially dangerous fool of himself, but the joke was on them. The Johnny Knoxville-inspired “senior citizen” was actually CrossFit guru Kenneth Leverich ‘aving a laugh (bodybuilders love Extras references).

In the video below, Leverich, who Barbend describes as a “multi-time CrossFit Games competitor and all-around freak athlete who has a crazy combination of strength, speed, and gymnastics skill,” teamed up with Thrillist and Smith & Forge Hard Cider to challenge the protein powder crowd to feats of strength.

It worked. Must be the prune juice:

Our double age-ent: Kenneth Leverich, a former Junior Olympic weightlifter and top SoCal Crossfit competitor who does even lift, bro — 535 pounds dead, precisely. We tapped Hollywood special effects guru Dan Gilbert to subject Leverich to four hours of prosthetics and make up. Then we made him wear a cardigan. (Via)

The cardigan really sells it. Something tells me Arnold Schwarzenegger, who used to work out at Muscle Beach (and revisited the site to celebrate 46 years of being in America), would be proud of the dressed-up Leverich.
