Back in August we couldn’t front on this mashup of The Beastie Boys’ “So What’cha Want” and The Muppets, and we enjoyed the Muppet covers of “Get Lucky” and “Come Get It Bae” from the same guy. Now that guy (Adam Schleichkorn of Mylo the Cat fame) has recreated Naughty By Nature’s “Hip Hop Hooray” using clips from Sesame Street and The Muppet Show.
Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear give props to hip hop, and Beaker makes a special appearance to let us know when it’s time to smooth it out. In other news, today I learned “Hip Hop Hooray” is one of those songs I was certain I knew the lyrics to when I really just knew the chorus, like shouting “five gold rings” during “The Twelve Days of Christmas”.
