It’s no secret whatsoever that Hollywood tends to run liberal, as in the 2016 election Hillary Clinton had the vocal public support of celebrities such as Katy Perry, George Clooney, Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Meryl Streep, Amy Schumer, Anne Hathaway… The list goes on and on. Whereas Donald Trump had, uh, Chachi and The Nuge? Pretty cool. (Yes, he did end up winning the election anyway. No, he did not win with the most votes.)
This election was particularly contentious not just for the Hollywood elite, but for all of us. Those in the entertainment industry have added reason to loathe the current president-elect however, as Seth MacFarlane posted on Twitter Friday. Ironically, he explains, Hollywood hates Donald Trump because Donald Trump is Hollywood.

Wanna know why Hollywood folks hate Trump? We live and work amongst his kind every day out here,” he wrote. “His tactics are those employed by the shiftiest of agents, lawyers, and publicists. We’ve learned to recognize the blustery showmanship of a lying con man because we encounter it every day in our business. We’ve learned to smell it, because it’s bitten so many of us in the ass. Most of us love America a hell of a lot, and we don’t America to be conned the way many of us have ourselves. Trump is of Hollywood. And that’s the problem.
