True story: Before I moved into my current house, the people living here before found a possum in their bedroom — as in, the same one I sleep in now — in the middle of the night. I know this because our neighbors told me that they called 911 after hearing the blood-curdling screaming, just assuming the family was being brutally murdered.
To this day, I don’t know how the possum got into the house, and the thought that I might wake up to a marauding possum haunts my every waking thought. If I did find one, I know for damn sure that I wouldn’t be as chill as the lady in this video, who seems absolutely tickled at the hissing, snarling, dead-eyed creature poking it’s head out of a plastic bag in her closet.
She soon realizes that it’s not just one soulless marsupial living in her closet, but an entire family of soulless marsupials… and, I guess if we’re being honest, admittedly pretty cute soulless marsupials. I guess even the Gmork from Neverending Story was probably cute as a puppy.
