‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ trailer finds Tom Hardy in a dusty post-apocalyptic hell

Before I even got out of bed this morning, I was watching the “Mad Max: Fury Road” trailer. How do you like THEM apples, Hall H? But seriously, it seems Warner Bros.' presentation of materials for George Miller's upcoming film won the day at Comic-Con yesterday despite the presence of DC Comics and Marvel Studios. Hard to do, but a nice surprise, nevertheless, and today WB has mercifully made the trailer available to us non-Coners.

“I am dying to see this movie,” HitFix's Drew McWeeny wrote yesterday in his description of the footage. “I cannot believe the things I saw. God bless George Miller, the mad genius, and his fetish for destroying vehicles in the most amazing of ways. I wish they'd played the footage ten times in a row.”

Well, now you can play a good chunk of it 10 times in a row if you wish. (This trailer is apparently about a minute shy of what they saw in San Diego.)

A few things from me: It looks like John Seale shot the hell out of this thing, and really, all hail John Seale. Jenny Beavan's costumes are awesome and vibrant and obviously an updated extension of the world Miller has already created on this series. And the sound team on this one must absolutely be kids in a candy store, because after all, the entire movie is apparently one big chase scene.

You ready to feel the fury? Check out the new trailer for a tease above.

“Mad Max: Fury Road” opens May 15, 2015.
