The theme of 'dreams' or 'dreaming' in rap right now is about as played out as my Beta copy of Ghostbusters back in 1988.

By | 8 Comments

<a href="http://smokingsection.uproxx.com/TSS/?p=170119"> Featuring J. Cole on the production, J. Cole on the hook and Fashawn, sounding ironically similar to J. Cole in vocal tone. Or maybe I'm just hearing it that way. Fashawn – “Dark Fantasy (Freestyle)”

By | 3 Comments

<a href="http://smokingsection.uproxx.com/TSS/?p=149216"> "Aggins ain't playing in CA, a lot of shit happening, Thinking bout packing & moving to Minneapolis. We from a culture of capitalists, Cut throats and savages the utmost embarrassing." Kanye’s latest project is much more a work of art than just another Hip-Hop album collecting dust in the memories of those who were around for its release like its contemporaries. Each song comes equipped with an audio presentation that is too complex and layered to be described merely as a beat. That said, it is hard to see freestyles from subpar emcees who have no business being associated with such elegance. Thankfully, Fashawn is far from a subpar emcee. Over the chilling production of Mr. West and RZA, the Fresno lyricist brings a new energy to the already epic “Dark Fantasy” with lines that are fit for a retail release. With each leak the Central Valley spokesman seems to be exposing different sides of his character, showing his versatility like a veteran at the young age of 22. The future looks bright. J. Cole Feat. Omen and Fashawn – “Relaxation”

By | 21 Comments

<a href="http://smokingsection.uproxx.com/TSS/2010/09/download-j-cole-the-plan"> Well aware that nonbelievers still linger, Cole's effectively doing all the things an artist should do to change their thoughts. Bars that are only getting stronger? Check. Producing? Check. He almost pulls a Jordan here, excelling and, in the process, making Fashawn and Omen sounds like bonafied stars in their own right. Still, the focus is on Cole and he delivers like a champ. Download -- <a href="http://www.mediafire.com/?6mw0s5en448t9wb">J. Cole Feat. Omen and Fashawn “Relaxation” (Prod. by J.
