It used to be that losing at beer pong was actually considered a good thing. Maybe the game has changed since an old ping-slinger like me hung up my Solo cups for good all those years ago, but the worst thing that could happen to a guy playing the college pastime was he’d get a mouth full of warm domestic beer. Now it seems that at least two beer pong players in Texas are taking losing a little too seriously, as they opted to unload a clip instead of fill their bellies with cheap beer. One woman was shot at a party in Ames, Texas early yesterday morning, as a group of men reportedly became furious after losing a game of beer pong, and now the police are trying to find the rest of the gang.
According to the police report (via The Smoking Gun), the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Chris “Crazy Chris” Hackett of Cleveland, TX, as he has been identified as one of the shooters. You know, if you can’t trust a guy named Crazy Chris to lose with grace and dignity, then why do we even have competitive events anymore? As for the other shooter, Decoris “Red” Rucker eventually showed up at the hospital. Was he feeling remorse over the woman who was send to the hospital after being shot in the leg?
Not really.
Within an hour and a half after the shooting incident a second person who witnesses reported to be one of the shooters, Decoris Rucker, arrived at the emergency room at Kingwood Hospital with a gun shot wound to his leg. He reported to authorities that he had been shot at some unknown location in the Cleveland area. (Via The Smoking Gun)
Police are currently trying to identify the other three men that were with Red and Crazy Chris, as the rest of the sore losers are at large and considered to be dangerous and not nearly as fun as this guy:
