The 2023 Uproxx TV Critics Poll

BET offered up its version of a college soap opera with The Quad, which followed a group of administrators and students at a fictional black college in Georgia. While some of the situations were a bit too real to be enjoyable — watching a girl get black-out drunk at a frat party isn’t as much fun in 2017 — the show managed to give an at-times nuanced look at what students go through during their higher education years.
