The NY Daily News reports that if/when “Katie” is canceled, Couric could end up replacing Barbara Walters when she retires.

Conan O’Brien made his “Late Night” debut 20 years ago today
On Sept. 13, 1993, Conan O’Brien replaced David Letterman, beginning an unlikely journey through late-night, with a writers’ room that included Louis CK, Robert Smigel, Bob Odenkirk and Dino Stamatopoulos (AKA Star-Burns from “Community”). Conan famously overcame his first rocky years, which included Howard Stern throwing him a cancelation party and roasting him with a puppet in 1994. To mark the 20th anniversary, Conan looked back at some of his famous “Late Night” bits, from Pimpbot 5000 to Clutch Cargo.
