Ronda Rousey superfans put their money where their mouths are, ponying up over $20,000 on eBay for Ronda’s old 2005 Honda Accord. The UFC champion had put the car — and a collection of personal knick knacks and junk left under the seats — on the auction site last week, where it quickly shot past the $5,000 it would have been worth if non-famous buttocks had shaped the seat grooves.
The car has tight history with Ronda — she bought the vehicle with her Olympic prize money and ended up living out of it during the rough patches in life between her judo and mixed martial arts careers. To commemorate the sale, Ronda signed a special message on the dash — not to the new owner but to the car itself, which she calls “Fonda”:
“You were the best noble steed I could ask for. You never broke down, you hung in there when I couldn’t afford to change your oil. I could always depend on you. I love you, enjoy retirement.”
The whole thing has been an emotional experience for Rousey, who tells TMZ Sports … “The Fonda will always have a special place in my heart.”
“I love it very much and hope that the next owner will be someone who will love and respect it. And not some crazy super fan who jerks off to it everyday.”
It’s an understandable request from Rousey, but when you’re paying $21,300 for a $5,000 car, you get to do whatever you want with it. No matter how perverted and weird.
