Kit Harington stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, where he judged some Jon Snow impersonators. More importantly, he talked about that scene from the recent Game of Thrones episode “Hardhome,” in which the White Walkers decimated the forces assembled to combat them.
We know how intense shooting that scene was; to give some perspective, Harington said that filming took 25 days, whereas he shot an entire movie recently that only took 24 days. Hanging out on set with actors dressed up like the White Walkers was apparently no picnic, either, as he admits they were as scary in real life as they were on the show, even when they’re asking how the “steak and ale pie is” in the lunch tent.
