The first GOP debate is happening tonight, but that’s not why we’re gathered here this evening. Over at MSNBC they were pontificating on important points in the debate and whatnot, but these panelists had no clue as to the absolutely glorious things happening behind them. Fantastic Internet writer, PFTCommenter, waded through the crowd to hold up a sign that asks the defining question of our generation: “Is Joe Flacco a elite quarterback?”
It’s a question that our children and grandchildren will ask us. Ever since the Ravens quarterback won the Super Bowl—in large part due to Rahim Moore falling into a coma—he has demanded to be put in the mythical elite class of quarterbacks. His most avowed fans lurk on Twitter and message boards sounding the Joe Flacco is elite sirens. The brilliance of PFT Commenter’s sign lies in the perfectly executed grammatical error. He’s the hero the Internet deserves.
The sign is so amazing that it completely distracts from the guys kissing in the lower left corner. Two men sharing a passionate moment alongside an “Is Joe Flacco a elite quarterback?” sign on the backdrop of a GOP debate. This is a beautiful country.
